Growing up as a dedicated gymnast, Hinson began acting in plays at six years-old, which pulled her far away from gymnastics and opened the whole new world of acting. After moving to Los Angeles, Hinson appeared in numerous television commercials. Hinson made her television movie debut in 2005, starring as an aspiring professional figure skater, Katelin Kingsford, in the Disney Channel Original Movie Go Figure.
